Christina Clegg Financial Planning Services Limited (CCFPS) are pleased to announce that we have just been awarded European Financial Advisor Certification. This certificate means that post-Brexit, we will continue to be authorised to provide advice and recommendations to European citizens.
The European Financial Advisor Certificate is part of an agreement with the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA), who have recognised that our existing advice qualifications are sufficient to meet the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) guidelines on qualifications. This recognition has been possible because of the work done by the Personal Finance Society in the UK, of which Christina is a Member.
Dare we say that this is evidence that there is progress in terms of Brexit and this demonstrates a practical willingness of our European neighbours to implement policies designed to ensure a practical transition, well in advance of the UK’s exit from the European Union.
We will shortly be receiving a personalised certificate to display our new entitlement.
