Friday the 13th saw the office close early at lunchtime and the CCFPS team head off to Manchester for our Christmas do!
We decided to travel in style, so we took the train. A great time was had, with lunch at Almost Famous (for their burgers), then a visit to Junk Yard golf (indoor crazy golf with music, flashing lights and drinks of course!). A wander around town followed including a visit to the Casino where Christina showed us exactly how to win at roulette!
With the older team members flagging (that was me!), we decided to get an earlier train back to Burnley. That was a good decision because there were severe delays at the station due to a power failure at Piccadilly, so we quickly grabbed a taxi. It turned out that there was chaos later in the evening as more and more passengers found themselves stranded! Luckily, we were home at a reasonable hour safe and sound.
Needless to say, the young ones continued to enjoy themselves late into the evening – especially Josh, who was flying out to Thailand the next day.
Josh has saved up holidays from this year and added them to the Christmas and New Year break, plus a few holidays for 2020 to give himself four weeks off to visit Thailand with his brother and friends. So, he won’t be back in the Office until 13th January. If you need him just ring the Office and we will be able to help.
This year the office will be closed from Monday 23rd December, re-opening on Friday 3rd January. If you need us urgently, we will be checking e mails, or you can leave Christina a message on her mobile.
