Please be aware that telephone “cold calling” about pensions was banned back in August 2017 and this includes e mails and text messages. So, if you receive a telephone call, e mail or text about your pension – just ignore it. Unless of course the call or e mail is from your financial adviser, who you are dealing with!
A firm of financial adviser in the South was fined £40,000 this week by the Information Commissioners Office for sending over 2 million e mails about pensions, without having marketing consent. The firm claimed to have been advised that this was lawful, but why would you send 2 million e mails out anyway? As you’d expect Christina Clegg Financial Planning Services, does not engage in cold calling in any way either by telephone, or e mail. If you want to get in touch with us you will be able to find us by searching on Google, or by using the Vouched For rated advisers’ website, or by recommendation from friends, colleagues or family, which is where most of our clients come from.
