Christina Clegg Financial Planning Services was delighted to support the Apprenticeship and Careers Expo at Nelson & Colne College last week.

There is a shortage of Financial Advisers in the UK today, as a result of Banks and Building Societies (who were the suppliers of advisers in the past), no longer providing financial advice. For some reason, financial advice is not seen as a vocation by the majority of UK colleges and universities and so there are few opportunities for new people to enter the market. CCFPS is taking the initiative to address this and we are determined to invest in the development of our own staff in-house to become the advisers of tomorrow. We have already enrolled Josh into the New Model Business Academy programme to take him through the necessary financial services qualifications over the next two years and we are looking to take on board at least one new apprentice to make a start in the world of Financial Services.
Both Christina and Adele were delighted by the number of prospective candidates who they met at the College and many of the students showed a real sense of enthusiasm for the industry which was refreshing.
Keep an eye on our Meet the Team page for developments.
